Fun, 1-day workshop includes all materials and lunch at gallery Join jewelry artist Jayne Roth for a one-day silver pendant workshop at Highlandtown Gallery. You'll create a Lentil Bead Pendant in this one-day workshop that also includes lunch! Students will create a pendant necklace using fine silver metal clay. All materials are provided, including silver clay, multiple choices of textures and CZs, a leather cord, and a sterling silver clasp. Your schedule for the day: 9:00 - 1:00: Creation of a silver metal clay pendant 1:00 - 2:00: Lunch provided by the gallery 2:00 - 4:00: Further instruction, finish pendant, including leather cord with silver clasp. With hands-on guidance from jewelry artist Jayne Roth, students will create a pendant necklace using fine silver clay with their unique designs. A beginner-friendly practice to investigate our relationship to our busy schedules and delight in the expansiveness of nature's rhythms. This year we have the gift of a 13th full moon—the blue moon in May. It’s essentially a bonus month. Together, we’ll spend this found time using tarot cards to investigate our relationship to time (and the demands we may feel on our time), embrace a sense of expansiveness, and delight in the counter-cultural invitations found in nature’s rhythms. This practice is beginner-friendly! If you have a tarot or oracle deck you enjoy, please feel free to bring it. If not, we have plenty of decks to share. - Join Annie , founder of Wild Maven Wellness , to mark the new and full moon every month at The Space Within Crystal Shop. Gather at 7 pm for reflection, ritual, and community. Note: doors close at 7:10pm so we can begin our practice without interruption. The Emmanuel Choir kicks off Baltimore PRIDE month with a performance of Considering Matthew Shepard — welcoming Bishop Gene Robinson Pride is more than a celebration—it is a profound period of remembrance, resilience, and hope. To mark the beginning of Pride month in Baltimore, The Emmanuel Choir presents an encore performance of Craig Hella Johnson 's extraordinary passion oratorio, Considering Matthew Shepard. This groundbreaking work transcends traditional musical boundaries, weaving together jazz, blues, country, and gospel to tell the heart-wrenching story of Matthew Shepard—the young gay Wyoming college student whose 1998 murder became a pivotal moment in the fight for LGBTQIA+ rights. This year, we welcome the Rt. Rev. Gene Robinson , who in 2003 became the first openly gay priest consecrated as a bishop in a major Christian denomination. Bishop Robinson, who also interred Matthew Shepard's remains at Washington National Cathedral, will offer reflections after the program. In collaboration with the Maryland Pride Center and Baltimore Pride , this performance is more than a concert—it is a testament to the power of art to heal, remember, and inspire.
