Your CITT Manitoba Area Council
would like to invite you to this year's 21st Annual CITT Annual Bursary Golf Tournament on Thursday, May 28th, 2026.
Even though we might still have substantial snow on the ground and Spring is taking its time to arrive, this tournament has never been cancelled due to weather conditions, and the snow seems to magically disappear in time for this event. It’s time to dust off the clubs and join in one of the first tournaments of the 2026 golf season.
If we get a minimum of 70 golfers, the winning team will get free entry into next year's tournament.
After an overwhelming acceptance by participants over the past 3 year’s tournament,
WE WILL BE USING THE GOLDEN BALL RULES AGAIN. PLEASE READ THEM AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS INVITATION.

In addition to Golf there will be a Ping Pong Ball putting contest along the course (Free), and a 50/50 putting contest at the end of the course.
We will begin with a shotgun start @ 1 pm followed by a putting contest then dinner. Shot gun start will only be in affect if we have a minimum of 60 golfers.
The Golden Ball Rules
Teams will be using the Texas Scramble format. 2 Drives from each player must be used instead of the normal three. Teams are made up of four players - Player# 1 and Player #2 will ride one golf cart. Player #3 and Player #4 will ride the other golf cart. Player #1 will be the Team Captain who will be responsible for keeping the team score. Player# 1 has been assigned #1 balls, Player #2 has been assigned # 2 balls, etc. All play will be from the White tees for all players.
Competition Rules:
Each player is given one Golden Ball. Their Golden Ball numbers will be the same as their Player#. Each player must play it on each shot until lost. They then must revert to the normal white ball for the remaining holes.
Scoring as follows - White Ball /Golden Ball
Bogey 1- 2
Par 2 - 4
Birdie 3 - 6
Eagle 4 - 8
Scoring is based on the color of the ball that goes into the hole first. So be careful when putting. The idea is to let the Golden Balls putt first to maximize points. If a white ball should be sunk first, then you must score accordingly.
The higher the score, the better. Highest score wins under the Stableford system.
