World-class Blues Legends Unite! Mark Hummel brings all start ensemble. RMP is proud to present Blues Harp Legend Mark Hummel with Anson Funderburgh, Ted Bukowski & Rena Beavers. This show is SO BIG that we booked two nights! You never know who might join the jam. MARK HUMMEL was born on the East Coast but raised in Los Angeles. He took up an interest in blues harp & rock-blues music in high school but soon discovered the originators - Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson and Little Walter, to name a few. Soon, Hummel was frequenting the legendary Ash Grove on Melrose Avenue in LA where he saw three blues legends he would later work with on a regular basis: Charlie Musselwhite, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee and James Cotton. By 1985 Mark Hummel's Blues Survivors hit the road full time and never looked back. Hummel has been featured on over thirty recordings since 1985, including his Grammy-nominated, Blues Music Award-winning 2014 Blind Pig Records release, Remembering Little Walter. Mark Hummel is a celebrated figure in the world of blues and has long been recognized for his exceptional talent and deep reverence for the blues tradition. ANSON FUNDERBURGH was born and raised in Plano, Texas, and is a Blues Music Award winner. Anson’s musical journey began at an early age. When he was eight or nine years old, Funderburgh received his first guitar. A box of 45s accompanied it - Jimmy Reed, T-Bone Walker, B.B. King, Albert Collins, Freddie King and Ray Sharpe - singles that pointed him on his musical path. Funderburgh taught himself to play the guitar and went on to make a living doing what he loved with that set of strings. In 1978, he formed the iconic blues band Anson Funderburgh & The Rockets, who continue to define the sound of modern-day Texas blues. Throughout his career, Funderburgh has had the privilege of sharing the stage, and working and recording with many of the biggest names in blues, including Delbert McClinton and Jimmie Vaughan, along with countless others. His unmistakable style, tone and sensibility has made him one of contemporary blues music’s most important guitar players. Anson has developed into a legacy artist and his influence on innumerable guitarists is immeasurable. With each performance, Funderburgh reaffirms his status as a true legend of the blues. Ted Bukowski on bass( Mighty Sam McClain, Big Bill Morganfield, Lurrie Bell, Earl King, RL Burnside & Big Jack Johnson) Rena Beavers on drums( Little Milton, Coco Montoya, Chris Cain, Rusty Zinn, Steve Freund, Joe Bonamassa) www.markhummel.com Doors 6:30pm. SWEEP CELEBRATES 25 YEARS! The Southwest Energy Efficiency Project (SWEEP) will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Thursday, June 4, from 6:00-8:00pm, at the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art in beautiful downtown Boulder, Colorado. SPONSORED BY: Group 14 Engineering, 1.5°Climate, Utah Clean Energy, Western Resource Advocates, Conservation Colorado, The Nature Conservancy, and current and former SWEEP Board members. If you are staff or affiliated with a sponsor, please select "Sponsor Staff Admission" when registering. This special evening will bring together friends, partners, and supporters of SWEEP for cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, music, and networking as we celebrate a quarter century of advancing energy efficiency, electrification, and clean transportation across the Southwest. Since our founding in 2001, SWEEP has worked with utilities, policymakers, businesses, and communities across Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming to develop practical solutions that save energy, lower costs, and reduce emissions. In these challenging and uncertain times, that work has never been more important. Over the past year alone, SWEEP has continued to make meaningful progress at the state and local level — helping advance energy affordability, strengthen utility accountability, and ensure that clean energy solutions remain within reach for communities throughout the region. As demand for electricity rises and extreme weather becomes more intense and catastrophic, these solutions are more important than ever. Our 25th anniversary celebration will be a chance to mingle with the SWEEP Board and staff team, reflect on the progress we’ve made together, and look ahead to the next chapter of our work. Tickets are $25, which serves both as entry to the event and a small donation supporting SWEEP’s mission. For those able to support SWEEP’s 25th celebration at a higher level, sponsorship opportunities are available . Please contact Elise Jones, Executive Director or Josh Valentine, Communications Director to become a sponsor: ejones@swenergy.org / jvalentine@swenergy.org. We can’t wait to celebrate with you! He received his Master's Degree from Yale and served on the faculty of NYU for over 25 years. A spiritual experience in 1987 left him clairvoyant. His breakthrough works of channeled literature including, I Am the Word, The Book of Mastery and The Book of Innocence have quickly become the most important and celebrated expression of channeling since A Course in Miracles rose to prominence in the 1970s. Paul’s workshops have won a growing following around the world for their depth, intimacy, and psychological insight. "Just experiencing the energy in the room is worth it, but the attunements are exquisitely powerful and transformative. " - Natasha S "The message and revelations were very clear and absolutely accurate. I was, however, most moved by Paul himself, whose compassion feels so sincere and healing." - Stephanie B “Paul likes to describe himself as “just the guy who sits in the chair,” but his finely-tuned abilities enable transmission of the highest level of teachings I’ve heard." - Bill Hooper "Without a doubt...the most humbling, liberating and life changing experience, one that I will hold dear to my heart forever." - Austin Thul “Paul is honest, vulnerable and just straight up REAL... It is a gift beyond anything I can accurately express." - Jeanette Brynn WHAT PEOPLE SAY Information Source: The Perabo Group | eventbrite
