Latest Events in Iwaki(May Updated)

The 71st Iwaki Fireworks Festival, a signature summer event for Iwaki City, is scheduled for August 1st. This year's festival will be held at Aquamarine Park in Onahama, featuring a special creative fireworks display to commemorate Iwaki City's 60th anniversary in October. The theme of this year's event is "Toward a Bright Future: Connecting 60 Years of Brilliant Light," and 12,000 fireworks are planned. The fireworks display will take place from 7 PM to 9 PM, launching from Onahama Port Pier 1 and the west breakwater. The performance will include community-made and creative fireworks, culminating in a large-scale, expansive fireworks display, primarily using 10-inch fireworks shells. The event will be cancelled in case of inclement weather.

From July to November 2025, YOASOBI will start its first domestic tour with 40 performances in 14 counties across the country. This is the first Hall tour in the country for YOASOBI.
