Long Night of the Sciences | Berlin
Celebration
Every year, the Long Night of Science (Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften) transforms science into a thrilling, interactive adventure. From 5 p.m. to midnight, some of Berlin's most prestigious research institutions open to the public, offering glimpses into the world of discovery and innovation. Throughout the evening and into the late hours, visitors can participate in experiments, engaging lectures, science demonstrations, and tour facilities not normally open to the public. From groundbreaking medical experiments to breathtaking physics demonstrations, the event covers all aspects of science, including the mysteries of the human body and space exploration. Biology, engineering, art, and even sociology are all featured during Long Night of Science. For the public, it's an excellent opportunity to interact with scientists, tour laboratories, archives, and lecture halls—areas not normally open to the public—and learn about the latest research findings.
